Location

The club-house is situated in St James’s Square, one of the city’s finest. The tranquil atmosphere of the central gardens makes it easy to forget that all the amenities of the capital are within easy reach. The West End shops, galleries, theatres and restaurants are within walking distance, as are two royal palaces and the Houses of Parliament. Several Underground stations are also close by, but some would say that the availability of taxis in the area is even more useful.

Within the building, the peaceful aspect of the public rooms is reminiscent of bygone days as they combine grandeur with comfort. The facilities provided also seek to uphold tradition in that service to members is an absolute priority: the only variations being those introduced to cater for the needs of the current day.
